Our home vineyard sits upon a complex patch of soil. Light sands rise from the Murray River and meandering Sunday Creek to the west, while darker red and brown loams stretch east toward Rutherglen. They meet beneath us, separated only by a thin vein of quartz, that imparts unique character on the resulting wines.
From a mature planting, this wine represents our finest parcel of estate grown Durif. Hand-crafted in tiny volumes, we employ traditional methods to produce a wine of immense depth and complexity.
Some wine club members, family, friends, and visitors to our events will have heard me discussing this project over the years, so after a lot of waiting, and a lot of trials, I am thrilled to finally be able to release 4 premium wines in our new Provincial Black range.
