Rutherglen Photography Invitation

Join renowned photographers Ewen Bell and Shellie Froidevaux (Iron Chef Shellie) for an unforgettable experience over three nights in Rutherglen. Meet and network with other photographers from around Australia and get up close and personal with Rutherglen's incredible landscapes, friendly people and famous wines. 
With an itinerary jam-packed with activities, workshops, gourmet dining and experiences, it'll be the opportunity of a lifetime to get a behind-the-scenes look at Rutherglen, it's delicious wine and produce, and to also grab some incredible photographs in the process.

ITINERARY
Your Rutherglen Photography weekend begins on Thursday the 18th of May 2017. Get ready for 4 days and 3 nights of amazing photography and gourmet opportunities.

THURSDAY 18 MAY

Arrive in Rutherglen and enjoy a decadent welcome lunch at the famous Pickled Sisters Café (12pm – 2pm) styled by Shellie Froidevaux (Iron Chef Shellie). After enjoying the company of your new photographer friends, join Ewen and Shellie for a sunset opportunity at Lake Moodemere taking in the rivergums, wildlife and farmland (4pm – 6pm). Then, celebrate a great first day in Rutherglen with an exclusive private dining experience at Thousand Pound Wine Bar & Store, with sparkling red wine on arrival and an opportunity to do a muscat tasting (6.30pm – 8pm).

FRIDAY 19 MAY

Chase the sun at Lake Moodemere Estate (7am – 8.30am) to catch the magnificent sunrise over the vines and sheep paddocks hosted by Ewen Bell. Enjoy a continental breakfast overlooking the lake at the estate. Visit the famous All Saints Estate castle and enjoy a winery tour before sitting down for a gourmet lunch at one hat restaurant, Terrace (11am – 2pm). Pop past Scion Vineyard (4pm – 6pm) to meet Rowly, 6th generation winemaker and passionate Rutherglen photography enthusiast! From there, enjoy sunset opportunities over the vines and nearby paddocks. In the evening, visit Rutherglen Brewery for a quick tour and dinner (6.30-8pm) and catch some great twilight shots of the main street. 

SATURDAY 20 MAY

Sleep in today. Join the group in Chiltern for a photography workshop (10am – 11.30am) with local professional photographer Georgie James, who will show you around the gorgeous gold-rush main street. Enjoy lunch at Hub62 with great local food and delicious coffee (11.30am – 1pm). In the afternoon, drop into Buller Wines (4pm – 6pm) to explore the winery and taste their award-winning wines straight from the barrel! Indulge with a spectacular French provincial dinner at Jones Winery (6.30pm – 8pm) and then head outdoors to capture sparkling star scapes over rolling paddocks.

SUNDAY 21 MAY

At leisure. Enjoy your last morning in Rutherglen before heading home.

We can't wait to welcome you to Rutherglen. To secure your place at this exclusive photography event, please click the below button to book. We'll then send you a confirmation email once we've processed your credit card.
For all the aformentioned inclusions, this event costs $389 per person for the four days. It does not include accommodation or any meals and drinks outside of those specified in the 'what's included' section. 
This is a first in, best dressed event. Please make sure you register early so you don't miss out!
 
WHAT TO BRING
 
Bring along all the camera gear you want to use, including a tripod, as there won't be any gear to borrow. Don't forget to pack a warm coat and shoes for early mornings and crisp evenings.
