Rutherglen Estates was conceived with the ambition to redefine the traditions of one of the world's best fortified wine regions, by producing premium table wines from varieties most suited to the climate and conditions of the Rutherglen region.
Rutherglen Estates wines are produced entirely from fruit grown on their own Rutherglen Vineyards, with inspiration from the traditional and alternate varietals of France's Rhône Valley, Italy and the Mediterranean. Their professional winemaking and viticultural teams use a combination of traditional and modern, cutting edge methods to deliver an innovative range of top quality premium wines. Rutherglen Estates is now internationally celebrated for producing inspired varietals and blends from Viognier, Marsanne, Fiano, Savagnin, Shiraz, Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Grenache and Durif.
Rutherglen Estates Cellar door is located in the historic Tuileries Complex in Drummond Street in the centre of Rutherglen – a great place to take in their unique personality and award winning wines. The winery and five vineyards are located just off the busy Murray Valley Highway, approximately 6km east of Rutherglen – within a tractors drive of each other, they are on the site of the original 1850s Rutherglen Estate vineyards.
Although Rutherglen Estates is the only non-family owned winery and vineyard operation in Rutherglen, this innovative team works closely together sharing a passion for wine and the region. Their eclectic mix of personalities, headed by CEO Phil Chamberlain, capture the essence of Rutherglen Estates ... redefining tradition.
